Memorial Biography

Shari, our Mom, Gran, and G.G., was a wonderful woman, who was loved, is greatly missed, and will always be cherished. Shari was born in Bakersfield, California to Howard and Edith Booth, joining her sisters; Barbara and Betty. Shari felt at home in the mountains, as she spent much of her childhood in the cabin built by her family in Panorama Heights. She enjoyed traveling abroad, as her father's job sent the family to several different countries. After she returned to Bakersfield, she met, fell in love, and married Louren (Larry) McKenzie. They had three children together; Terri, Karri, and Larry. After too short a time, she became a widow. She was lucky enough to find love again, with Donald Regennitter. His daughters, Terri, MaryAnn, and Donna, became part of the family. Shari and Don had a daughter together; Shari Dawn, who died at birth. Shari was a talented crafter. Her favorite hobby was working in the garden, enjoying the sunshine. Shari was always a Mom and Gran first, but through the years, she also worked at Brock's Department Store, Calcot, and Simplot. Loved ones who will miss Shari include her children; Terri Martin, Karri McKenzie, and Larry McKenzie, her grandchildren; Melissa Murphy, (Shawn,) Shawnee Lewis, Kristin Garrett, and Steven Garrett, great-grandchildren; Thomas and Matthew Ramirez, and Jamie, Carleigh, and Jeremiah Lewis, sister-in-law Linda Mitchell, (Patrick,) and many other extended family and friends who were always in her heart. Per Shari's request, no services will be held. Her family and friends will have a private celebration of her life. We would like to thank Dr. Vinh-Linh Nguyen, and his incredible staff, for their love, care, and support. We would also like to thank Dr. Ashraf Alim for his terrific care.
